For the touring skier, Loveland Basin is a keen companion to many. A mere 4 miles separates it from Arapahoe Basin, allowing for a swift transition between distinctly high-alpine environs. Should one be inclined to extend their journey, Winter Park and Breckenridge lie but a short drive further afield, offering a broader array of slopes and atmospheres.

This independent peak makes itself accessible via both the Indy Pass and Powder Alliance. With no owner-based pass to contend with, one finds Loveland Basin refreshingly uncomplicated in its offerings, save for the general admonishment to mind the often-bustling Interstate 70 corridor.
