Wilmot

Wilmot, a Midwestern molehill, offers a gentle introduction to the snow arts. With but 200 vertical feet, it serves well those finding their footing, be they younglings or those long-removed from gravity's embrace. Its 120 acres are more classroom than wilderness, a place for pleasant turns, not daring exploits.

Such a modest peak rarely warrants a pilgrimage alone. One might consider Wilmot as a brief diversion or a warm-up before Grand Geneva, a mere fourteen miles distant, or perhaps Alpine Valley WI, should one be travelling that direction and seek further modest delights. The drives between are short and rather uneventful, as befits the region.

This diminutive slope is folded into the grand Epic Pass, which is welcome news for those already holding such a key to larger kingdoms. Do not, however, mistake its presence on said pass for a promise of vast alpine adventure; Wilmot remains a small affair, best appreciated for what it is.
