For a road trip through the heartland, Steeplechase serves well as a quick stop or a companion to other local hills. Its proximity to Buck Hill and Hyland Hills, both within a ten-mile drive, allows for a rapid tour of several Minnesota ski areas in a single outing. Expect urban and suburban driving between these spots.

Currently, Steeplechase does not appear on any common ski passes. This means planning a visit requires purchasing a lift ticket directly from the mountain. It caters to those who prefer straightforward access and do not rely on multi-mountain passes for their snowy adventures.
