Its character is one of understated charm, rather than challenging grandeur.

For the road-weary pilgrim, Skaneateles naturally pairs with the likes of Buffalo Ski Center or Swain. These nearby peaks, within the selfsame state, offer readily achievable detours. The drives between them are, as they say, mere trifles, allowing more time for the business of skiing.

This humble resort finds itself upon the Indy Pass, a boon for those who wander with such a key to many hills. Be mindful, however, that while convenient for access, its limited vertical may leave the more ardent descender yearning for greater drops.
