For a road trip, Mountain High: East is clearly part of a larger, local whole. You can hop between it and Mountain High: West with no real journey, simply shifting your skis from one base to another. Venturing slightly farther, one might consider Mt. Baldy for a taste of loftier peaks, though the drive there is short and less a pilgrimage than a jaunt through nearby hills.

Access is granted via the Indy Pass or the Powder Alliance. Be mindful of its modest snowfall figures; while enjoyable, one should not expect the deep conditions found at ranges of higher elevation. An early-season or late-season visit might find it a pragmatic stop rather than a destination.
